Mill Decommissioning at Shebandowan Mine, Shebandowan, Ontario
Client: INCO Limited
In fall of 2003, Denison Environmental Services (DES) was awarded a contract to complete the demolition and rehabilitation of the mill area at the Shebandowan Site 90km west of Thunder Bay. The mill demolition was completed in 2003 with the final cleanup and landscape work complete in 2004.

The 2003 Shebandowan Mill Demolition Project included:

Hazardous materials abatement
Asset Evaluation and Sales
Demolition including recycling of over 4000t of steel
Construction of a concrete bulkhead at the conveyor portal
Site Contouring and Revegetation
