Remediation at the
former Bicroft Uranium Mine, Cardiff, Ontario
Client: MNDM
In January 2005, Denison Environmental Services (DES) was awarded the
contract to remediate the former uranium property. Activities at the
site began in late January and will continue through March 31st.
The primary activities undertaken include reduction of the foundations and a
backfill layer to mitigate gamma radiation level to background levels. In
addition 4 shaft caps were constructed to bring the mine opening security to
current standards. For more information on this
